Teignmouth Poetry Festival 2019

Feedback on Teignmouth Poetry Festival

Extracts from email, Twitter and Facebook responses:

In my opinion Teignmouth Poetry Festival is the very model of a successful UK Arts Festival. As a promoter of the best in contemporary poetry, Teignmouth punches well above its weight.

Just wanted to thank you all for all your hard work putting on the best Teignmouth Poetry Festival yet! Felt very honoured to be there.

What an extraordinary & moving show - Martin Figura's intensely personal solo performance…

Thanks so much for sending the reports on the poems so promptly, and the photos. It was very nice to see you again at Teignmouth and to be so warmly welcomed - those are the things that really make an occasion like that.

I thought the festival was excellent with some really interesting events.  It was well organised throughout, and very people-friendly with people around to help and direct at all points. It was easy to see how busy the committee had been in organising everything.

I thought you did an amazing job with the festival, it was excellent in every way.

Just to say thank you for a wonderful festival. It gets better every year! I can really see the colossal amount of work that goes into making sure it all runs so smoothly.

… an exemplary Poetry Festival on every level. There is a real buzz about the town and a wide range of involvement from both locals and further afield in poetry…

It was wonderful. What a heart-warming and inspiring atmosphere!
So many good readings and such a lovely atmosphere.

A wonderful finale – a Poetry Slam featuring 12 very talented spoken word participants doing their stuff in front of a packed and highly interactive audience in a celebration of the democracy, power to communicate and excitement of poetry today.

… our sincere appreciation for all of your hard work, professionalism, love of poetry and undoubted passion to share the best it has to offer with as many people as possible.
