Teignmouth Poetry Festival 2017
The festival is over for another year. It appears to have been a great success - many congratulatory emails and comments from guest poets and audience members alike. The organising team is busy collating results, comments, suggestions and feedback in general. These will appear on this page eventually, together with photos and relevant poetry.
All our wonderful volunteer stewards and helpers will be rewarded with the annual garden party in their honour in summer, but for now we would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone who made the Festival possible.
Sincere thanks too to the many people - audience members, competition shortlisters and Elephant poets - who travelled long distances at their own expense to be in Teignmouth; some were only able to stay for two or three events yet made the effort. We are flattered, grateful, and in awe of their dedication.
The festival raffle prize - 17 poetry books donated by visiting poets and friends, and worth about £120 - was won by a visitor from Portsmouth who just happened to be in Teignmouth on the right day. Congratulations Samantha Bassett!
